Dedicated breast imaging through Medilab's radiology department.
Imaging is performed at the main laboratory on Wilhelminastraat. Walk in during opening hours and follow the preparation guidance below.
Mammography uses low-dose X-rays to make breast images. A doctor may request it to investigate a breast concern or as part of screening; your referral identifies the reason for your examination.
For each view, the breast is placed on the imaging surface and gently compressed for a few seconds. Compression helps make a clear image and can feel uncomfortable, but it is brief.
Mammography is available as a walk-in radiology service. Bring the referral that names the requested examination, and ask Medilab about any examination-specific preparation before your visit.
Ask the radiology team how your report will be provided and discuss the result with the doctor who referred you. Our laboratory test list shows insurance coverage for laboratory tests; confirm mammography coverage with Medilab and your insurer before the examination.
